Having The Energy To Live Your Life

Hi Wellness Seekers

We all have big demands on our time and energy and we seem to be being pulled in many directions all of which can deplete our energy.

Good energy comes from two places.

  1. Our minds. Our thoughts can drive energy, I’m sure you know this is true, if you compare doing a task in which you have interest or in one where you have no interest. Interest and passion can drive us on even when we are physically tired.

Not having a choice is also handy. If you are at work or your business and the job needs to be done, you can dig deep to find the energy to complete it. Having no option gives us a good insight into how we can muster up energy when we have to.

This is OK occasionally, but if you are living like this then the stress will take its toll and your adrenals will stop providing the adrenalin you need to function.

  1. Our cells are our core energy providers. Every cell in your body has motors which produce a chemical called ATP (Adenosine Tri Phosphate) and this is your currency of energy. How much ATP you produce depends on a number of factors.

The quality of fuel you put into your body. That is a diet full of processed foods and lots of sugars will provide a poor fuel source. You need quality fats, proteins and carbohydrates which will provide a good cross section of nutrients and fats which can be readily burned as fuel.

The quality of your cells will be determined by the type of fats you eat and your hydration. Good fats like coconut and olive oils, avocado, butter and even fats from meat and fish will ensure your cells are nice and pliable and the nutrients will be able to enter the cells easily.

Fats such as trans fats found in most commercial processed foods are not healthy for your cells, even common vegetable oils are only required in small amounts.

Water keeps your cells plumped up and healthy, and this really shows up in your skin. Healthy cells also allow the waste to be released easily.

Good health doesn’t happen by accident, you have to engineer your life to ensure wellness and energy, it is not hard but it does require a conscious decision to place health ahead of some foods, of course you can also have a treat from time to time.

Wishing you Great health and happiness
