30 Day Vibrant Health Diet Road-test…Days 23 To 30 And Results

On entering the last week I was very keen to get to the end and see my results. I have to say I like eating this way, as it takes the decision out of many food encounters. It’s no longer a matter of if I will have this treat or sweet snack; it’s just that I don’t.

By the end of 30 days in total I lost 6 kilos (13.2 pounds) In spite of ups and downs with my knees, because I sometimes overtrain, the joint and muscle pain in my body is much reduced from where I started.

My energy is good, my skin feels healthier and I’m really pleased with my general sense of wellness. The big test was my 30 day blood test.

My testosterone rose.

My DHEA dropped, but Sue attributes that to the stress the death of my father.

My Cholesterol rose, but it was the HDL which increased, making my HDL/LDL ratio better, this is good news for my heart. So that is a win in spite of more so called deadly fat! Plus the good amount of vegetables provide anti-oxidants to prevent the LDL from oxidising in my blood stream.

My inflammatory markers, ESR and CRP dropped from the high range into the low range which meant I had much less inflammation.

My B12 rose considerably, which is also good news for my heart and whole cardio vascular system as B12 keeps homocysteine levels under control, which when elevated increase heart attack risks.

All in all I was really pleased with the results of eating more fat and less junk carbs in just 30 days. I was asked whether I would go back to my old eating habits, which by many measures weren’t terrible. But it is an easy decision to stay largely grain and sugar free.

To go back would be weight gain and more pain, so the choice is easy.

I admit I didn’t start the 30 days on a diet full of junk food, but I did have a sweet tooth and I did look for sweets most nights previously. The experience will be different for everyone and for some the first few weeks may not be easy, but the rewards are great.

And unlike a low fat low calorie diet where you lose weight but are always hungry and counting calories, this plan is not only much easier it is also really healthy.

You can jump in 100% or you can ease into it. My advice is to jump in because while you are eating even a small amount of processed carbs you will be wanting more sugar.

Wishing you Vibrant health and happiness
