Your Anti-Aging Bug Brain!

Hi Seekers Of Youthful Health

In your quest to age better I would ask you to consider your gut a bit more carefully, or in the case of most of us, to become aware of our gut’s role in health and aging.

Here are a few gut facts.

  1. 60% of your blood proteins are manufactured in your gut by your healthy. Proteins are constructed from amino acids and form every cell in our bodies, including the skin cells on our faces, hands and arms where most of the expensive creams are applied.

So in order to maximise the benefits from your creams you need a health gut.

  1. Researchers state that as much as 90% of serotonin is made in the gut, which has been dubbed as the second brain. Serotonin is a neuro transmitter and is largely responsible for our emotional health. As part of an anti-aging programme mental health is vital for us to feel energetic and enjoy life to the fullest possible.
  2. About 80% of your immune system tissue is in the gut. Again healthy bacteria are required to ensure a proper immune function.
  3. Your gut bacteria synthesize biotin,Vitamin B12, Folic acid and Thiamine, as well as Vitamin K for your blood. You can think of these vitamins being activated in the gut, but this works well only in a healthy gut.
  4. There are many other important activities in your gut bacteria including anti-pathogen, and enzyme production.

The bottom line is that ensure you are aging as successfully as possible, you need a well-tuned body, and for this to occur you need a healthy gut with happy healthy bacteria. So feed them with plenty of vegetables, especially those with lots of fibre and foods with polyphenols such as berries and coffee. Plus you can take pro-biotic capsules to boost your system.

You can protect your bacteria by using anti-biotics only when absolutely necessary, which means not for the common cold or flu. Avoid sugar which feeds the bad bacteria, and limit alcohol and junk food which stress your bacteria.

Stress itself is harmful on bacteria as it causes inappropriate digestive tension and an increase of the stress hormone cortisol.

When your gut is out of balance you will feel tired sluggish and sick. You may still feel young at heart but your body will be just dragging itself around. Your skin will lack a healthy glow and all the rejuvenating creams and spa treatments in the world won’t help very much.

Eat well, exercise, relax and take only short periods of sun on your skin each day.
